How do I use the AR sky?
Tap the sky view to enter AR, allow the camera, and raise your phone. If the sky looks turned, wave the phone in a slow figure eight to calibrate the compass. If you do not want the camera, turn it off with the camera button, or drag the sky with one finger.
The camera is black or the sky does not line up.
Check Settings > Nightpiece > Camera. If you chose a city by hand or denied location, the AR view uses magnetic north, which can be some degrees off. Allow location while using the app for true north, and keep the phone away from magnets and metal cases.
How do I change my place?
Open Settings in the app and choose Use my location, or tap the place name and pick a city. Widgets use the same place.
The space station says it needs a connection.
Nightpiece downloads the station's orbit data now and then. Connect to the internet and open the app once. The last copy is kept on your phone, and everything else works offline.
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, tap +, search for Nightpiece and choose a size. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize and add Nightpiece. The Moon widget is free; the other widgets need Pro.
Alerts do not arrive.
Alerts need Nightpiece Pro (except one space station pass). Turn them on in the app's Settings, allow notifications when asked, and check iOS Settings > Notifications > Nightpiece and your Focus modes.
What is free and what is Pro?
Free: the sky dome, the AR sky, the Moon, planets and space station, tonight's events and the Moon widget. Pro adds every widget, look and app icon, the alerts, the night dial of 30 days either way and the constellation lines.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Nightpiece Pro from Settings and tap Restore. Use the Apple ID you bought with. If it does not work, write to us.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Nightpiece and tap Cancel. The lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel.
Does it work on iPad?
Nightpiece is made for iPhone. It can run on an iPad in compatibility mode, but it is designed and tested for iPhone.
What does the app collect about me?
Nothing. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what the app uses and where it goes.
